Get to know Krabi! Seven days gives you just enough time to really get a taste for Krabi. The beautiful province in southern Thailand offers its visitors a wide array of stunning things to see and do and a full week gives you the time to fully explore many of them, giving you a varied and exciting stay.
Explore the hinterland with its rainforests, high-perched temple, natural wonders such as the Crystal Pond, hot springs and caves. Take to the sea and visit more islands further offshore. Krabi’s coastal area is a wonder to behold, blending the characteristics of Phang Nga Bay (made of tall limestone cliffs) and paradisiacal islands featuring white sand beaches and turquoise waters. The main asset of Krabi is that it is not yet overdeveloped by the tourism industry, so you will still get the feeling of having all of these marvels (mostly) for yourself. Here are a few ideas for making every day memorable.
- 4 Islands Day Trip
- Rainforest Discovery Tour
- Phi Phi Islands Excursion by Speedboat
- Excursion to Hong Islands via Speedboat
- Ban Bor Thor Kayaking Full-Day Tour
- Sunset Cruise in Catamaran over Andaman Sea
- Whitewater Rafting & 4-Wheel-Drive Adventure
- Phi Phi Islands Tour with Express Boat
- Ao Thalane Kayaking Adventure
- Shared Shuttle: Krabi Airport (KBV)
Day 2. Krabi Landmarks
For a total contrast (and to avoid getting totally sunburnt) travel inland and visit the Tiger Cave Wat Tham Sua for breathtaking views of the province. Climb the 1237 stairs to the mountain-top shrine.
Day 4. Phi Phi Islands
Visit Phi Phi Islands, as they're a must-see. Or if you prefer to stay in the locality, take a long-tail boat to Railey and relax on the beach.
Day 5. Krabi Inland
Explore the interior with its hot springs and caves. Go walking in the Thung Teao Forest Natural Park - easy walking trails, natural swimming pools and landscaped back to nature Jacuzzis. Hire a car, or take a tour.
Day 6. Krabi Seafood
Savour some wonderful seafood. Don't forget, Krabi has some excellent seafood restaurants, found in Ao Nang (Seafood Street) and also Krabi Town...
While you could do everything yourself (and it's not that difficult) tours in Krabi do offer good value for money.
Tours are often small scale (no huge boats or buses) include equipment (snorkeling) often an activity (eg., Kayaking) have knowledgeable guides and save on time (especially if you don't know the area). Full day tours often include a Thai-style lunch, drinks and snacks.
