Get to know Krabi. Take a boat to the coastal beaches like Railay and Phra Nang, or go island hopping and snorkeling around Koh Poda or Koh Gai. Take a couple of tours at the beginning of your visit to get to know the place quickly, then spread your wings and explore.

Try your hand at rock climbing around Railay Beach. Courses are available at Railay and Tonsai with equipment included.

Visit Koh Hong - with its spectacular scenery above and below the waterline. A great day out.

If you want to go deeper under the surface, why not take a diving course? It takes just 4 days to become a certified diver, or just try a a one day taster. Excellent dive sites lie within a short distance from the coast. Check out the dive shops in Ao Nang.

Explore the interior with its hot springs and caves. Go walking in the Khao Nor Chu Chi National Park - easy walking trails, natural swimming pools and back to nature Jacuzzis. Hire a car from your hotel desk, or take a tour.

Kayaking is an experience well worth doing around the national parks or along the coast. Most tour agencies have details.

Go elephant trekking, bamboo rafting or visit the the Tiger Cave (Wat Tham Sua) for breathtaking views of the province. A cool antidote to all that sun!! Go by yourself (rent a car) or take a tour.

De-stress into another world. Be totally pampered with an ultimate body treatment in one of the many new spas. Most are attached to hotels and open to non-guests. Alternatively, have a local Thai massage on the beach. You'll feel invigorated!

Enjoy alfresco dining at some of the excellent seafood restaurants in Ao Nang or Krabi Town. Just delicious.
