Currently, flight connections to Krabi are made through the recently opened Suvhanabumi International airport and the older Don Muang airport, both situated in Bangkok. Depending on the season, Thai Airways operates 3 to 5 daily flights (1hr 20min). Several other no-frills airlines - Nok Air, One-Two-Go airlines, Thai Air Asia have also started daily flights from Bangkok. The resort can also be reached by flying to Trang airport where Thai Airways flies daily from Bangkok. Tiger Airways operates 2 weekly direct flights from Singapore to Krabi International airport.
Transportation by road from Krabi, Phuket or Trang airports can be arranged by the resort; it consists of a 50 minutes drive from Krabi Airport, 3hr from Phuket Airport and 1hr 30min from Trang Airport. This takes you to Bahuahin pier where, adjacent to the public pier, the resort maintains a private jetty and convenience station.
From November to April, one of our boats will then take you for a 60 minutes scenic ride along the east or west coast of the Lanta Islands eventually arriving at the resort's beach jetty. In all, and depending on sea, weather and traffic conditions the transfer time - Krabi airport to Pimalai - from November to April takes between 1hr 50min to 2 hr10 min at the most.
From May to October we drive straight from the mainland to Pimalai resort by using 2 public car ferries; the first ferry links the mainland pier to Ko Lanta Noi (15 minutes crossing time); the second one links Koh Lanta Noi to Koh Lanta Yai (7 minutes crossing time); upon landing at Koh Lanta Yai, another 30 minutes scenic drive will take you to Pimalai. In all, and pending on sea, weather and traffic conditions the transfer time - Krabi airport to Pimalai - from May to October takes, at the most, between 2hr 10min to 2 hr 30 min.
