The Resort:
The Layana Resort and Spa is nestled on Koh Lanta Yai Island in Mu Koh Lanta National Park. The park is a marine archipelago, home to verdant tropical rainforests and undersea kingdoms of colourful coral rich in natural marine diversity.
The resort enjoys a spectacular beachfront location on a 3-kilometer long white sand beach, situated about 2 hours south of Krabi International Airport.
Environmentally-conscious design throughout the property results in a simple and elegant Thai atmosphere; alfresco architecture combining with contemporary design to provide an open, cool and natural feel.
Transportation:
Guests are welcomed at Krabi Airport by the Layana representative and transferred directly to the resort.
During the high season (November to April), transportation usually consists of a 1-hour drive by air-conditioned minivan from Krabi Airport to the Baan Hua Hin pier, followed by a 20 minute scenic ride along the coast on one of Layana’s private speedboats (subject to weather and wave conditions and depending on guest choice).
From May to October, the resort operates round-trip transfers by minivan only due to sea conditions and a transfer time of 2 to 2-1/2 hours (sometimes even more) should be expected.
Please note that for safety reasons, we do not operate any of our boats between 6:00pm and 6:00am; this applies throughout the year. Should you arrive in Krabi airport after 5:00pm, we can still bring you to Layana by using the local ferries that operate until 10:00pm.
