Opened in August 2000 by Jürgen Weber and Jeab Saenubon, it was the first German restaurant in Ao Nang, a simple and small place with only 10 tables and four staffs. Located in the northern part of the beach on Khlong Hang Road, the restaurant is in the middle of a block of businesses diagonally opposite Krabi Thai Village Resort. Opened in 2003 and under Dutch management, Carnivore did not take long to become the top favourite destination for meat lovers in Ao Nang. Featuring a stylish rustic décor, the restaurant serves a good choice of western favourites besides its specialty of grilled meats, from soups to seafood dishes to salads. Prices are pretty steep (from 200 to 800 baht per dish), but quality always comes at a certain price.
