Ao Nang Center Point has been the heart of nightlife entertainment since 1999 in the most popular resort town in Krabi Province. Ao Nang Center Point is a modern three-storey entertainment complex featuring a great choice of dining, shopping and entertainment options. 2The Last Café0
- Opening Hours: 18:00 – late
- Location: Central Beach Road near Burger King – look for the girls with flyers
The Last Café owes its name to its location toward the southern end of Ao Nang Beach: there’s nothing but the cliff after it (well, it’s not exactly true as the next bay - Pai Plong Bay – is nowadays reachable by a man-made wooden lane fixed on the side of the cliff). Its remote location makes The Last Café a chill-out place far from the crowds. Serving Thai, seafood and western fare from 10:00 ‘til late, The Last Café is mostly famous for its laid-back, cool and entertaining atmosphere at night: beachside barbecues, cold beer, cool cocktails and cool music, Thai boxing matches, DJ performances, and fire shows, The Last Café offers its punters an original tropical escape at the end of Ao Nang Beach.
- Opening Hours: daily from 10:00 – late
- Location: Past the massage huts at the end of Ao Nang Beach
Soi RCA Entertainment is one of the three main nightlife spots in Ao Nang (the two others are Ao Nang Center Point and Soi Bamboo). It is located on Krabi Town Road in the southern part of Ao Nang some 250m from the beach. True to Ao Nang form, Soi RCA Entertainment is more laid back than its bigger-city equivalents and even though there are girlie bars galore and a few glamorous individuals of questionable sexual proclivity there’s almost none of the raunchiness that’s associated with Bangla Road in Patong and Soi Cowboy in Bangkok. Brightly neon lit, Soi RCA host 12 bars, most of them with monikers leaving no doubt about the kind of entertainment to be found there. Read More...
4Roots Rock Reggae Bar0
- Opening Hours: 17:00 – late
- Location: Ao Nang Road heading out to Krabi Town – diagonally opposite McDonald’s
Roots Rock Reggae Bar is a middle-sized open-air bar located on the main road to Krabi Town in Ao Nang’s southern part, diagonally opposite Mac Donald’s, some 50m after Bombay Palace Indian Restaurant when coming from the beach. The place is fast becoming one of the most frequented and lively venues after sunset, offering a great mix of affordable drinks (small bottle of beer at 90 baht and cocktails at 150 baht), excellent live music (the Thai band performing here has a great singer), friendly staff, and fire shows at 20:30 (right on the pavement in front of the bar). Due to the lack of place inside, a dozen of tables are set roadside, and Roots Rock Reggae Bar is packed every night. The atmosphere is rather laid-back and unpretentious, making this bar a must-visit to people in search of a cool and decent place at which they can have a drink in peace. They also serve good quality Thai and western food.

- Location: 50m after Bombay Palace on Ao Nang Road

Soi Bamboo is located off Krabi Town Road in the southern part of Ao Nang some 300m from the sea. Named after the principal material used for the construction and furnishing of the venues it hosts, Soi Bamboo also includes four Thai seafood restaurants located on the main road. Its entrance is flanked by the lively Coconut Bar on its right, and by the tiny Eagle Bar on its left. Soi Bamboo hosts eight venues including Coconut (which features a good live band every night) and Eagle bars which flank its entrance: Chili Bar 1 and 2, Ting Tong Bar, AS Bar, Banana Bar, and Mr. Long Bar & Restaurant. The Irish Rover is a charming and typical Irish pub located just off the road to Krabi Town in Ao Nang’s southern part. Under Irish management, this long-established venue has gathered all the usual and necessary elements of an Emerald Isle traditional ale house: elegant rustic décor, a good selection of draught beers and ciders, and footie on the television. Its pub grub is also an important part in the success and longevity of The Irish Rover and the food served up here is up to scratch for any Irish or Brit holidaymaker, or, for that matter anyone who wants to discover the real McCoy of Irish cuisine and the mixture of Gaelic, Thai, and international clientele is the proof of the pudding. The Last Fisherman is a tropical restaurant dream come true: set right on Ao Nang Beach – on its southern part – this bar and restaurant made of recovered materials, thatch and bamboo and driftwood (the only modern material used is the white plastic chairs), offers its punters a chill-out place at which they can dine with their toes in the sand under the shade of coconut and tropical almond trees.
