Bussaba Thai Restaurant is a modern, neat, and charming venue located diagonally opposite Krabi Thai Village Resort in the northern part of Ao Nang. It is quite easy to find in the middle of a block of businesses in the street that starts with Pakasai Resort (Khlong Hang Road) some 350m from the main road.
Formerly known as E-San Seafood Aonang, Bussaba Thai opened in 2005 and soon became a well-known and popular restaurant due to the quality of its food. The venue is rather small – 12 tables that can accommodate up to 48 diners - and nicely decorated in contemporary Thai style. Under local management, Bussaba Thai is a recommendable place for those who wish to enjoy genuine and tasty Thai dishes along with international favourites.
Bussaba Thai Restaurant is a casual dining venue with a classy touch in its elegant settings; light grey and apple-green walls, superb modern Thai art items hanging on the walls, two-toned table clothes, and chairs made from durable ersatz water hyacinth with cushions, along with colourful walls, Bussaba Thai certainly features stylish décor.
The atmosphere is also conducive: peaceful with soft music in the background, it offers diners a stress-free venue to enjoy mouthwatering food in style while chatting about their Krabi experiences. Free Wi-Fi connection is also available in the restaurant.
Bussaba Thai Restaurant’s menu offers great opportunities to discover some of the favourite classic dishes available in Thai cuisine, many of them slightly revisited with a fusion twist: chicken with lemon cream sauce (250 baht), green curry salmon (200 baht), tom kha gai (chicken in coconut milk with galangal – 160 baht), tom yam talay (the most famous Thai seafood soup – 200 baht), and tiger prawns in thick curry with coconut milk (450 baht) just to name a few.
Besides the à -la-carte menu, four set menus are available from 350 baht (Thai set menu with vegetable spring rolls, chicken green curry or chicken cashew nuts or chicken massaman curry, and red or white wine) to 830 baht (spinach or tomato soup, NZ lamb rack, and white or red wine).
The drinks-list features all the usual suspects of beer, spirits and soft drinks, and the wine list presents a good selection of Old and New World labels such as Chilean ‘Carmen’ Gran Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon (1,800 baht/bottle), French J.P. Chenet Cabernet/Syrah (1,200 baht/bottle) and Peter Vella Fruity Rosé (800 baht/bottle).
