Not actually in Ao Nang, this is a lovely upmarket resort surrounded by cliffs on its own private bay (Pai Plong). The 192 rooms are well sized, standard rooms are fantastic – with special consideration given to outdoor living areas – but the villas are astounding.
The adventurous can walk to Ao Nang on a rough path, but the hotel's private speedboat is a better option.
